Philadelphia 6th March 1778 Sir The Reverend Messrs WINSLOW and BOWDEN having represented to me their Distresses, in Consequence of being driven by the Rebels from their Livings knowing no better Mode of Relief, than by appointing them Chaplains in the Provincial Corps, I am to desire you will be pleased to make Provision for them in this Way, if it can be done without interfering with any arrangement you may have already determined upon.
