Maps & Gazeteer |
Time and progress have changed the landscape of North America, not only physically, but also through the names we use for cities, towns, counties and regions. One might not be able to easily find Charles Town, South Carolina today on a map. However, when called by its later and present name of Charleston, it becomes much more recognizable. We are currently working to put together a handy place name gazeteer to give you a general idea where some of the places mentioned in our documents are located. However, this is a big undertaking, and we hope you will be patient with us while we work to develop it. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy our selection of period maps - some showing geographic features, some showing encampments, and others battles.
