[Extract] Fishkill, November 3, 1776: Whereas the following persons, inhabitants of this State, were lately taken in arms against the liberties of the United States, in a late skirmish between a detachment of the Continental Army and a party under the command of the late Major ROGERS, viz:
Resolved, That they be forthwith marched to the town of Exeter, in the State of New Hampshire and that they be closely confined in jail, in such parts of the said State as by the General Court, or Council, or Committee of Safety of said State, shall be thought advisable… A.
