Memorial of John Bloxham

To the Kings most Excellent Majesty

The Memorial of Captain George DAWSON, in behalf of Ensign John BLOXHAM of the North Carolina Volunteers

Humbly sheweth

That the said Ensign John BLOXHAM having his Health much impaired by his services with the Army in Carolina obtained Leave of Absence for Six months from the Commander in Chief in New York to come home to England for the recovery of his Health,

But as it is not as yet by any means restored he most humbly Entreats to have a Prolongation of his Leave of Absence, which he apprehends will be attended with no Inconvenience to the service, as he understands the Company he belongs to, will soon be reduced, the men having been all made Prisoners with Lord CORNWALLIS in Viriginia, and he himself a Prisoner on Parole.
