Savanah in Georgia the 23d of February 1782 Sir The Bearer Captain WYLLY is a very worthy young Gentleman, who was brought up to the Bar, which Profession he has lately Quitted, & Raised a Company in Lieut. Colonel BROWNs Corps but by a Late arrangement unluckily for him, he has been deprived of his Company, after going to a very considerable Expence in Getting the men, his Case seems to be very hard. But I have only to say that whatever Countenance your Excellency may be pleased to show him, I doubt not he will Prove very deserving of. I have the Honor to be with Perfect Esteem His Excellency Sir Henry CLINTON K.B. Great Britain, Public Record Office, Headquarters Papers of the British Army in America, PRO 30/55/6157.
