The Memorial of Lieut. William BROWN Respectfully Sheweth That your memorialist has been an Officer in the 60th Regiment since the year 1756, and in 1763 was reduced with the fourth Battalion, and has ever since been upon half pay; and as he understands that another Company is to be added to the three already formed for Garrison duty Your memorialist humbly prays that your Excellency will be pleased to appoint him to the command of the said Company, having during a service of upwards of twenty years always been so happy as to gain the approbation of his Superior Officers and being now from his age incapable of serving in an Active Campaign. And Your Memorialist as in duty bound will ever pray &c.
