Head Quarters New York 6th July 1777 His Excellency The Commander in Chief is pleased to order, that the Captains of such Provincial Companies as are this day Compleat, may draw the Pay of three contingent men for the repair of arms &c; which will be allowed to the other companies as soon as compleat- and in the mean time, in the proportion of 1 Contingent man to companies of 25 men, two to Companies of 40 men, & 3 to Companies of 50- All the Sick of the Provincial Corps, that can be removed, to be immediately sent to the Hospital at Haerlem the same necessaries to be sent with them as with the Kings regular troops; Vizt 2 Shirts, 2 Pairs Stockings & 1 Pair of Shoes. The Subsistance Accots. of each Corps to be settled immediately, and the men cleared to the 24th June, each man to be provided with 3 Shirts, 3 Pr. Stockings, 2 Pair Shoes & 1 Pair of Trowsers. A Return to be given in immediately to the Inspector General from each corps, of the names of the prisoners with the Rebels, those on Command, on Furlough and Recruiting, with their time of absence from the Regiment. The General Court Martial of which Col. BREWERTON was president is dissolved. A General Court Martial of Provincial Officers to Assemble at Kings Bridge next Wednesday the 9th Instant, for the Trial of all such Provincial Officers and Soldiers as may be brought before them. Lt. John BLOXHAM late of the Queens Rangers, is appointed Lt. in Major GRANTs Corps of New York Volunteers, in the room of Lt. FORD who resigns.
