To the Commissioners appointed by Act of Parliament, for enquiring into the Losses and Services of the American Loyalists. |

The Memorial of Edward COLE, late of the Colony of Rhode-Island, but now in Nova-Scotia, per his Agent Chas. COOKE Respectfully Sheweth, That your Memorialist was Lieut. Colonel Commandant of the Rhode Island Regt. at the head of which he distinguished himself at Sir Wm. JOHNSTON's Victory over the Baron Dieskau, Near Lake George, in America. That your Memorialist became an early advocate in Support of the Constitutional Authority of Britain, during the late Rebellion in America, in consequence of which he has been much persecuted, and all his property Confiscated & Sold, Pursuant to a Law of the Colony of Rhode Island, a Schedule of which property is herewith Annexed. That your Memorialist was appointed a Colonel in the Provincial Service by Sir Wm. HOWE, & 12 Months afterwards, was Seconded, in which Situation he now is, at Nova Scotia. Your Memost. therefore prays that his case may be taken into your Consideration, in order that your Memost. may be enabled, under your Report to Receive Such Aid or Relief, as his Losses & Services may be found to deserve.
