Brooklin 26th June 1782 We the Subscribers do hereby Certifie that Mr. Richard HILL Inspector at Brooklin Ferry has always paid the Closest Attention to his duty, Circumspectly discharging the Same, as became a Trusty and Good Officer, to the Satisfaction of his Majesty's Officers and Troops at this post, and from Opportunitys of Observation during our Quartering in this Village and its Vicinity, we do Testifie that it is our full Persevaision that he is Essentially useful, as well to his Majesty's Service, as to the Public in General, and that we never heard the Least Complaint against him, In Testimony have Subscribed our Names.
