To Coll. Thomas DUNDAS and J. PEMBERTON Esq. Commissioners Appointed by a late Act of Parliament further to Enquire into the Losses and Services of all such Persons who have suffered in their Rights properties and professions during the late Unhappy dissentions in America &c &c &c. |

The Petition of Jabez HUSTED Humbly sheweth That he resided at Bedford County of Westchester and Province of New York till the late Unhappy dissentions in America and for his Loyalty to his Majesty and Attachment to the British Government was obliged to leave his property about the 1st of February 1777 and came within the British Lines at New York for protection and then entered into the Commissary Department and remained in it about two Years in Consequence of which he suffered the Loss of his property, an Account of which is hereto Annexed. Your Petitioner Humbly Prayeth that you would be pleas’d to Enquire into his Losses and Services as shall seem meet unto you as in duty bound your petitioner shall ever pray.
