London 3rd July 1789 It is hereby certified, that the Bearer Alexander FRASER serv’d as Private & Corporal, during the whole of the War that comenc’d in 1756 & ended in 1763; in His Majesty’s 42nd, or Royal Highland Regiment of Foot, wherein he was wounded through the thigh at the attack on the French Lines at Ticonderoga on the 8 July 1758, that at the conclusion of that War, the said FRASER (having served the stipulated time he Enlisted for) was discharged, & became an Inhabitant of New York in North America, and that whilst he serv’d in the aforesaid Regt., he behav’d on all occasions as a brave and good Soldier. Given under our hands, the above date.
