Barnet 6th November 1782 Madam, When I Sign'd your Memorial for the Treasury Board certifying the Death of Late Lieut. POLLARD, I did it because it was true & I am ready at all times to Certify that he was Killed at Savannah by a Shot I think the 4th of October 1779 when under my Command in one of the New York Battalions in which he acted as Quarter Master. I Wish that this may be of Service to Continue upon you the pension they then granted to you, your friends may inform further of the loss he was in entering in that Regiment.
I have the honor to be Mrs. Hannah POLLARD
