GEORGIA By His Excellency Sir James WRIGHT, Baronet---Governor and Commander in Chief of said Province, Chancellor and Vice-Admiral of the same. TO James Ingram, Esquire I REPOSING special trust and confidence in the loyalty, courage, and good conduct, of you the said James ingram have commissionated, constituted, and appointed, and by these presents do commissionate, constitute, and appoint you the said James Ingram, to be Captain of a Volunteer Troop of Horse which said Troop you are from time to time to lead, train, muster, and exercise, according to military discipline; and you are likewise, from time to time, to follow and observe all such orders and instructions as you shall receive from me or the Commander in chief for the time being, or any other your superior officers, according to the rules and discipline of war; and all inferior officers and other persons concerned are hereby commanded and strictly required to obey you as Captain of the said Troop. This Commission to continue during Pleasure. GIVEN under my hand and seal, at Savannah this thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand, seven hundred & Eighty one and in the twenty first year of his Majesty's reign.
