12 July 1782 The Commander. in Chief having been pleased to direct that the Charge made by Cornet SMITH against Captain LIVINGSTON of the American Legion Should be examined into & explained; it is B.G. MARSH's Orders that a Court of enquiry Should Sit at 10 oClock tomorrow morning to Examine the Charge exhibited by Cornet SMITH against Capt. LIVINGSTON in his Letter of 30th May Last to Majr. MENZIE Commandg. the American Legion on Report to the Br. Gen. for the information of the Commandr. in Chief.
