Court Martial of William Lindsay & William Trewcomen |

At a Court Martial held in the City Guard of Charlestown this 17th of September 1781- by the Officers of Captn. Gideon WHITE's Militia District Company.
For the Purpose of trying the following Delinquents William LINDSAY, for Neglect of duty- The Prisoner being put on his defence says that there being Three Men in the His House belonging to Capt. WHITE's district. That its impossible for all to due duty at one Time with Capt. WHITE. The Court After The Court there fore ajudge him to pay the Fine of Seven Guineas. William TREWCOMEN for Neglect of duty, The Prisoner being put on His defence- declar'd before the Court He wou'd not due Militia duty 'till He saw every Person in the Garrison Take there shair of the Same- The Court not Admiting that excuse as sufficient Therefore ajudge him to pay a fine of five Guineas-
