Appointment of Officers

General Orders respecting the Appointments in the aforesaid Corps

"General Orders Head Quarters Tansa 13 March 1780

Major General CAMPBELL having been pleased to raise a Corps of Light Dragoons to be called the West Florida Royal Forresters, The Officers are to take Rank according to the Orders of the Commander in Chief in North America.

Appointment of Officers for said Corps

Adam CHRYSTIE Esquire Captain Commandant
Patrick STRACHAN Esquire     }
Charles WALKER Esquire        } Captains
Joseph PENHORN Gent.          }
Hubert REES                           } Lieutenants

They are to be obeyed as such."

of the late West Florida Royal Forresters

N.B.

Captain WALKER was Killed at the Siege of Mobile.
Lieutenant PENHORN Killed at the Siege of Pensacola.
Lieutenant REES Resigned, and
John ALLANDER Gent. was appointed and did Duty as Cornet in said Corps.
