Westchester Chasseurs
List of Subscribers

We whose Names are hereunto Subscribed do Inlist ourselves to Serve during the present Campaign, in the Troop of Westchester Chasseurs, On the following Conditions.

Conditions for Raising a Troop of Westchester Chasseurs-

To Serve in the County of Westchester, or at any other part of the Province with the Militia, when Ordered by His Excellency the Commander in Chief, or the Governor of the Province-

When Marched out of the County, Officers and men to receive Pay & Provisions, as British Light Horse, Also during the time they are embodied and kept on Duty in the county.

When not Embodied, to remain at their Residence, in the Borough of Westchester, ready for Service, as soon as Summon'd.

The Men to be provided, each with a Carbine, Bayonet, Sling & Swivel, Pistol, Sword, Scabbard & Belt, Cartridge Pouch or Box, Haversack & Canteen, with one Camp Kettle to every Six Men, Also One Guinea for Boots, when procured by the Men, to be paid on a Certificate from the Commanding Officer of the Troop.

The men to provide their own Uniforms, Horses, and Horse furniture.

The Commander in Chief Engaging to Pay for all Horses killed or rendered unserviceable, while in Actual Service.

That we will be accountable for all Arms and Accoutrements delivered to us, not lost in Actual Service or by other unavoidable Accidents, and engage to return them whenever called for by the Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Forces, or the Governor of the Province.

The Troop to Consist of one Captain, One Lieutenant, One Cornet, One Quarter Master, Three Serjeants, Three Corporals, One Trumpeter, and Fifty Private Men.
