To the Right Honble. the Lords
Commissioners of his Majesty's
Treasury.

The Memorial of Adam GRAVES, George GRAVES and Nicholas ANDRES, late of Frederick County in Maryland

Humbly Sheweth

That your Memorialists were Freeholders in the above County and Province, and were condemned to die, for being Officers of the associated Loyalists, and for inlisting Men into his Majesty's Service, but were reprieved on condition of Transportation to France, and put on board a French Man of War, from which they made their escape and got into New York, where they were Subsisted by order of his Excellency Sir Guy CARLETON.

That upon the approach of the Evacuation they were ordered a free Passage to England; and Sailed from New York the Tenth day of last Month, and are now arrived in London in the utmost distress.

Your Memorialists therefore humbly pray your Lordships to take their deplorable Case into consideration and to allow them such temporary Relief, as to your Lordships wisdom may seem fit.
