| Emmerick's Chasseurs | |
|
New-York Last Thursday evening a very considerable number of Refugees, met at the Red Lion, Fresh-Water, where the recruiting service is carried on for Lieut. Col. Emmerick's Corps, and voluntarily enrolled themselves in the Light Dragoons under that Gentleman's command; they prove as gallant and soldierly looking young men, as ever mounted a Khovenhuller.
The Royal Gazette, (New York), May 16, 1778.
