Butler's Rangers
Witness for John McKinnon

Kilmony 24th October 1783

This is to certify that Captain John McKINNON of Colonel BUTLER's Regiment of Rangers, has for a considerable time past, been afflicted with a paralitic Affection of his Left side; by which he is, for the present, rendered entirely unfit for his duty-   And this is my Opinion upon Soul & Conscience.

Robert OAKELTREE
Surgn. 71st Regt.

Great Britain, Public Record Office, Colonial Office, Class 42, Volume 15, folio 235.
