Memorial of Willet Carpenter of New York

To the Honourable the Commissioners
appointed by a late Act of Parliament further
to enquire into the Losses and Services of
the American Loyalist &c &c &c

The Memmorial of Willet CARPENTER late of Westchester County in the Province of New York but now of Queens County in the Province of New Brunswick

Most Humbly sheweth

That your Memmorialist for his Loyalty to his King and firm attachment to the British Goverment was Compelled to to [sic] fly for Refuge and Protection to the Royal Army than at New York as Early as the year 1777 March the 12th Day and your Memmorialist hath Rendered Goverment the Services and on Account of his Said Loyalty hath Suffered the Losses Stated in the Schedule and Estimate hereunto annexed.

Your Memmorialist therefore Prays that his Case may be Taken into your Consideration in order that under your Honours Report that your Memmorialist may be Enabled to Receive Such Aid and Relief as his Losses and Services may be found to Deserve.
