I do hereby Certify that Mr. Pierre De PEYSTER did in the years 1777 and 1778 communicate Intelligence through me to the Commander in Chief of his Majesties Forces at New York, which was always to be relyed upon, and of great Consequence to His Majesties Service; and I further certify that I paid him but One hundred Dollars.
