Claims & Memorials
Witness for Adam Walker of Massachusetts

These may Certify that I knew the bearer Mr. Adam WALKER before the rebellion. That he was a reputable blacksmith in the Town of Worcester.

That formerly he was in his Majestys Military Service in which I have often heard he distinguished himself by his fidelity & bravery and that he now has a ball in his hand which he got in an engagement during the rebellion when he was supporting the Royal Cause to which I have no doubt he was always true to.

Timothy RUGGLES

Wilmot April 14th 1786

To all whom it may concern

[NOTE: Adam WALKER may have served with the Loyal New Englanders, and then the Loyal Associated Refugees.]

Great Britain, Public Record Office, Audit Office, Class 13, Volume 51, folio 583.
