Musgrove's Mill Battlefield

This is another in the series of Southern battlefield photographs donated by Ron Stevenson.

He writes:

Here on August 19, 1780, Col. Isaac Shelby, who was present at King's Mountain, engaged and routed a group of Tories near the site of Musgrove's Mill.

The site is located about 3 miles from Blackstock's Battlefield, where the highway crosses the Enoree River, about 2 miles north of exit 52, off I-26, on Hwy. 56.
