The Petition of Benjamin ANDREWS U:E.

Humbly Sheweth

That your Petitioner Joined the British Army in the year 1778 at New York, and in the [year] 1779 was taken Prisoner and remained so untill the Peace took place in 1783.

That your Petitioner having a wife and some Children three of which were born before the Year 1789, and having received only two hundred acres of Land, your Petitioner therefore Humbly prays your honour will take his Petition into consideration and Grant him such further Allowance as to your Honor seems meet & your Petitioner as in Duty Bound will ever Pray--
