Governor Commanding his Majesty's Troops in the
Province of Upper Canada &c &c &c In Councill

The petition of Jonathon AUSTIN

Humbly Sheweth

That your petitioner has been a Soldier in Capt. Barns HATFIELD Company in the Regt. Commanded by Lt. Col. James HOLMS your petitioner has Served in Said Corps During the Term of four years and had the Misfortune of Geting wounded and was taken prisner and your petitioner wishes to become a Settler in this province prays that your Excellency may take his Case into your wise Consideration and grant him Such portion of Lands as your Excellency may See meet for his Servitude and your petitioner as in Duty Bound Shall Ever pray
