The Memorial of John O’BRIEN

Humbly Sheweth

That your Memorialist formerly lived in Dutchess County, Province of New York, joined under the Command of Col. James DeLANCEY April the 6th 1780 untill June the fifth 1783 in Capt. KIPP’s troop

and the Deponent further sayeth that he Sustained the following Losses on account of his Loyalty and Attachment to British Government Viz- two hundred Acres of Land with the Improvements Lying in Duchess County Valued three hundred pounds, one yoke of Oxen and four Cows Valued at forty-two pounds, twenty Sheep Valued at ten pounds, one Horse Lost in Action Valued at fifty six pounds, one Horse Sadle and Bridle Valued at thirty pounds taken in Action, one Horse taken by the Rebles Valued at thirty seven pounds, one two year old Colt taken by the Rebels Valued at ten pounds, one Suit of Clothes ten pounds-
